you’re right. it’s nice to be wished a happy birthday, having it forgotten sucks…especially by your own parents! which is what happened to me this year. poo.
but i agree with joeie and benson, i’d rather not publish on any www. and have only the few ppl who know and love me wish me a happy day. if they knew and loved me they’d know the date…or would have asked

Hahaha, hey Ben, I do what you do. I keep my birthday hidden in EVERYTHING that gives the option to hide it. But it’s true, if they really wanted to know when your birthday was, they’d ask.

There’s another way to forget a friend’s birthday:

5. You remember the general time frame for your friend’s birthday (e.g. late November) but you can’t remember the exact date because you just suck at remembering dates. AND, you’re too embarrassed to ask your friend for the date because you’ve known him/her for long enough that it’s ridiculous that you STILL can’t remember it. (Here’s where Facebook helps.) =P

After I forgot Vince’s birthday (combination of #3 and #5), I went through my memory, old emails and Facebook and wrote down everyone’s birthdays in three different calendars–on my wall at home, on my desk at my base junior high school, and in my JET day planner. And that’s probably the only reason I remembered your actual birthday. =P So yes, I support showing your birthday on Facebook.

First of all: This isolationist rule doesn’t work that well when you’re in AFRICA next year!

Second of all: I would rather NOT have insincere people saying Happy Birthday to me on my birthday EVEN IF they are sincerely wishing me to have a HAPPY one. I like celebrating my life with those who know me and love me best; those who only know me and love me “okay” can… go away. Haha.

And third of all: CRAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Just kidding.

I bet you had the best birthday in your whole life…

… BECAUSE I WAS IN IT THIS YEAR!!
